We are currently working with an independent Insurance Broker in Surbiton, who are now seeking to recruit a Trainee Insurance Broker. They would be happy to consider those who have recently finished College or a university graduate, equally this could also suit someone looking for a career change too.

This is an exciting chance for somebody looking for a junior level role within insurance that will offer lots of development and progression opportunities.

This role would suit an individual looking to start a great career in insurance as the position offers full training and offers the successful individual the opportunity to gain qualifications within the sector to become a fully qualified Insurance account handler, with full support on offer to complete the Cert CII exams. Maybe you are already in a role and looking for a change, or you are a recent graduate or college leaver looking for a real career.

You will be required to liaise with clients via telephone and email, provide support to the broking team with all administration duties, respond to queries and enquires via email and telephone, update and maintain accurate records and files, update and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with lots of data processing and updating of database systems.

You will also be trained to prepare new business quotations for new and existing clients, support busy renewal activities, and ensuring high levels of business retention - collating renewal dates/diaries and preparing information for renewal terms as well as liaising with Insurers/Underwriters and liaising with senior account handlers for guidance an instruction when required.

This is a full-time role, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm with one hour for lunch.

Salary is £20-24,000 depending on skills and experience.
