Trainee Financial Adviser -

Swindon Area

Salary depending on experience.

An established and growing financial planning practice with offices located just outside of Swindon are looking to recruit an ambitious and technically proficient individual into a Trainee Financial Advisory role.

Working alongside an experienced Adviser and wider Wealth Management Team you will support with the provision of financial advice with the aim of developing your skills and knowledge to become a standalone Adviser.

You will initially support an Adviser with.

  • Attend client meetings with an Adviser, offering technical support, advice and helping deliver client solutions. Take extensive client meeting notes, outlining clients objectives and discussed plan of action.
  • Help manage post-meeting queries, answering technical questions and providing the client with comprehensive answers and information as required.
  • Act as a point of contact between the advisor and office technical support teams. Help ensure high client standards are kept and all timescales and queries are managed.
  • Help identify business development opportunities. Have a good commercial awareness of changing markets, political landscape, legislation and wider industry considerations.
  • Actively develop your technical knowledge and skills. Take training courses, further exams where appropriate and always be looking to demonstrate up to date market knowledge which can benefit clients.
  • Shadow advisers at every stage. Understand how to plan for meetings, gain trust and understanding of individual circumstances, propose and deliver recommendations, and manage long standing relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to become a Financial Adviser and can demonstrate the personal qualities required for the role. You will need excellent communication skills and an ability to explain complex information clearly. You will need relationship management skills, business awareness, and be self-motivated to attend client events and build new relationships. It is essential you have developed a strong technical understanding of financial planning products and can display technical proficiency across multiple areas.
