Trainee Field Technician - Nights

FJA are looking to recruit several Trainee Validation Technicians working with a National Utilities Contractor based in the Oxford Area.

Your role as a Trainee Validation Technician will involve you being trained to find water leaks on the underground water networks.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get into the water Industry for the right candidate - Some leakage experience would be advantageous but an eagerness to learn would be paramount.

You will be working Monday to Thursday between the hours of 7pm and 5:30am.

Your role as a Trainee Validation Technician will involve:

• Interpreting and understanding water network schematics and plans
• Working with Water Network and distribution, Hydraulics
• Understanding and carrying out PZT/ZPT
• Flow Testing Meters - 5,10,15 flow rates
• Boundary Valve investigations/proving
• Quantification Inc. using portable flow meters
• Utility tracing
• Knowledge and experience of Pressure/Flow monitoring

About the successful Trainee Validation Technician candidate should:

• Have the intellect and ability to quickly learn new theories, techniques and working methods associated with duties and tasks
• Be able to follow procedures and instructions
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with internal and external colleagues.
• Be able to work well under pressure and to conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail and high levels of standards
• Have experience of flow data capture techniques and methods
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Be a team player, flexible, co-operative attitude to working and giving and receiving help
