Trainee Accounts Assistant

An amazing trainee opportunity has become available within the Finance department of a large logistics business based south of Leeds. This role will be working alongside the Financial Controller of the business to support with a range of payments, reconciliations and treasury tasks. The reason this role is exciting is because they are not asking or any prior experience for this role, the only thing they are asking for is strong excel knowledge, ideally someone who is familiar with V-Lookups and Pivot Tables and who has recently finished relevant studies (such as a degree or AAT).

This role is going to be really exciting for the successful person because the responsibilities will be challenging and fast paced, it is exactly the type of role someone who loves a challenge will enjoy. The responsibilities will include reviewing, analysis and setting up payment runs for multi-million-pound payment runs, you will also be completing reconciliations against supplier statements to ensure payments are correct and assisting with month end reporting for the FC. This role is currently a temporary to permanent role, which is looking to begin quite quickly so please only apply if you are immediately available or on a short notice period.

• Have strong excel skills as working on excel is a key part of the role, so someone who is familiar with V-Lookups and Pivot Tables will be key.
• Be a diligent person with an incredible eye for detail, additional be someone who is quite patient as you will need to take time ensuring your reports are accurate before processing.
• Be someone who is eager to learn and to get their career started in finance!
• Be immediately available, or on a short notice period and be able to start quite quickly!
