Are you a part qualified ACA or ACCA Audit Semi Senior with experience of, or a very strong interest in, charity and not for profit clients? Would you like to work for one of the leading accountancy practice firms with regards to auditing charity and not for profit clients? If so this large Top 20 firm, with a large and very well established charity and not for profit department is looking to expand and recruit an ambitious part qualified Audit Semi Senior due to many impressive new business wins from competitors. You must be dedicated to the charity sector and be able to add value to this firms impressive and growing list of charity clients (including a mixture of small charities and many larger household names) to include academies, schools, traditional charities, professional bodies, INGO’s, grant makers, student unions, trade unions, religious organisations, membership bodies and social housing associations. Depending on your experience, you will be responsible for mainly the testing phase of audits, but quickly be trained so you can lead audit assignments from planning to completion. You will also gain exposure to ad hoc assignments such as new business development, marketing and attending charity specific functions and events. You will also prepare statutory accounts in accordance with SORP. Overall your role will be split roughly 90% audit and 10% accounts preparation. Your client base will be 100% charity and NFP based. Your role will be varied, hugely enjoyable and you can expect to progress to a higher level in a short space of time.

To be considered for this new role (April 2024) you must be a part qualified ACA / ACCA Audit Semi Senior and have experience of auditing charity and not for profit clients (or a very strong interest in the sector). You will currently be working for a good quality UK based practice firm, with experience of at least the testing stage of audits. Your current role must be at least 50% audit based and you must either have audited charity and NFP clients or have a strong interest in the area. The firm has had great success with candidates who have relocated to London from around the UK and this firm welcomes applications from small or medium firm candidates based outside of London.

This large Top 20 accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in London is growing at a rapid rate, particularly their charity and not for profit department. They are winning a large volume of new clients from many of their competitors and can offer you the chance to work on, and advise many interesting charities based in London, the UK and internationally. Promotional prospects are very strong and you will be given every opportunity to progress to Audit Senior grade in a short space of time. The firm has also had great success with candidates from small or medium size firms, looking to upgrade to a larger, London based firm. Overall this is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Semi Senior with experience of, or a strong interest in working with charity and not for profit clients to join a large and growing charity department of a Top 20 practice and carry out a high profile and rewarding new position.
