We have an exciting opportunity for a Timetables & Registers Officer to join the team across Bournemouth and Poole on a full-time, permanent basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £25,662 - £27,388 per annum.

About the role:

As the Timetables & Registers Officer, you will be responsible for the development and operation of College-wide timetables and student attendance registration systems, to manage room bookings, and to assist in achieving efficient room utilisation across the College.

Responsibilities as our Timetables & Registers Officer will include:

  • Development and maintenance of accurate and efficient timetables across all College campuses
  • Operation and maintenance of student attendance registers across all College campuses
  • Lead on and be responsible for the timely resolution of all enquiries received through the Timetables and Registers request queue
  • Ensure student timetabled hours meet ESFA audit requirements and match the curriculum plan accordingly - liaise with College managers to address timetable related queries and concerns
  • Assist with the monitoring of any unmarked registers or missing register marks; and work with curriculum areas to resolve any issues as quickly as possible
  • Co-ordinate the room booking function within the College and liaise directly with department managers and examinations staff, to ensure maximum utilisation of space available
  • Co-ordinate any timetable and room adjustments as necessary, due to change in availability, room allocations, or curriculum/exam requirements
  • Provide key support and advice to the exam scheduling function, and work closely with the Examinations team to plan exam sessions in advance
  • Provide training to staff, and ensure there is an effective service supporting all users in relation to timetables, attendance registers and room bookings across the College
  • Undertake any other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post that may be reasonably required

As our Timetables & Registers Officer you’llideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Experience of manual or electronic systems for recording data
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications including Excel 
  • Strong Communication skills including written and verbal
  • Administrative experience in a busy office environment
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
