TIG Welder/Fabricator Required!

Our client is an established engineering company providing fine limit sheet metal fabrications to a variety of industry sectors including electronics, medical, telecommunications, retail, and vending.

Their strong reputation has been built around offering design support, quality products and high levels of customer service. Due to ongoing success, they're looking to recruit a Skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join their team.

(TIG Welder) - Position Overview

• Perform TIG and MIG welding operations according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Fabricate and weld component using various metals including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate weld and dimensions.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify weld integrity and compliance with industry standards.
• Operate welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise workflow and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving welding-related issues as they arise.
• Continuously strive to improve welding techniques and process to enhance overall efficiency and quality.

(TIG Welder) - Position Requirements

• Knowledge of specific welding processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and recognise welding symbols and specifications Knowledge of industry safety practices.
• Good attention to detail - inspecting the quality of products.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience working to fine limit and working with mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel (0.9mm - 5mm)

(TIG Welder) - Position Remuneration

• Normal working hours: 07:30am - 16:00pm - Monday to Friday (40 hrs per week)
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Hourly rate £15.00 to £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
