We are seeking an English Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join our nurturing specialist school and make a significant impact on the lives of students aged 6-16 years who have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, or adverse childhood experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative English lessons tailored to the individual needs and interests of each student.
  • Help students develop their literacy, communication, and life skills.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to support the overall well-being and academic progress of students.
  • Participate in the school’s comprehensive induction program and engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QTS/QTLS or a Further Education qualification in English, Maths, or PSHE.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lesson plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team.
