Test Technician

My client is a world leader in specialised electronic technologies and are looking for a Test Technician - Electronics based in Portchester, Hampshire, to join their growing engineering team.

The Test Technician - Electronics based in Portchester will be working as part of the Test department assessing, testing and fault-finding microelectronic circuits, ensuring all test work is performed correctly, to the correct standards and within a timely manner mainly using Automatic Test Equipment

Specific Duties for The Test Technician - Electronics based in Portchester, Hampshire :

• Set up Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) station
• Testing micro electronic circuits using Automatic Test Equipment to ensure the functionality and reliability of electronic components
• Testing and fault-finding on non-functioning printed circuit boards and electronic modules/components to identify issue and repair if appropriate
• Work independently to complete functional tests of micro electronic circuits to specification
• Maintain Test Program and Burn-in database log
• Ensure test results are reported as required by internal and external standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for the Test Technician - Electronics based in Portchester, Hampshire:

• Ability to test, fault-find and repair efficiently and accurately
• Experience of testing and fault-finding electronic circuits
• Working knowledge of and experience of using test equipment (Power supplies, Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, function generators)
• Proficient in complex electrical wiring and electronics schematics
