Test House CNC Machinist

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with a leader in high precision forging industry.

They currently have an opportunity for a Test House Machinist to join their existing team.

PAY:
£15.21 p/h + 16% Shift Allowance = £17.64 p/h (£38,533) inclusive of shift allowance, with the opportunity to progress further.

HOURS:
Week 1: Mon & Tues days (06:00-18:00), Wed & Thurs nights (18:00-06:00)

Week 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri days (06:00-18:00)

Week 3: Mon, Tues & Wed nights (18:00–06:00)

Reverts back to week one

Average of 42 hours per week with unlimited overtime paid at time & half

JOB OVERVIEW

There is an expectation that the role will be flexible and willingness to train in other areas of the department is essential, this may include the operation of band saws, waterjet cutting, Mechanical testing and Metallurgical preparation / testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Tool Setting and operating of 4 & 5 Axis Milling and turning machines
• Editing using Fanuc Controls
• First line daily maintenance & 5 ‘S’
• First line inspection
• Operating powered cranes and lifting equipment
• Producing high precision medium to large components
• Small batch Machining environment – typically 6-12 pieces

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience with CNC machining.
• Overhead Crane Training (Max. 5 Years).
• Abrasive Wheel Training (Max. 5 Years).
• First Aid Training (Max 3 Years).
• Fire Warden Training (Max. 5 Years).
• FLT Training (Max. 5 Years).
• IOSH Working Safely / IOSH Managing Safely an advantage
