The Company

A market leading engineering company undergrowing a significant period of growth now require a Test Engineer.

The Role

  • Create test strategies, test plans, perform tests and statistical data analysis related to new products before launch and serial products on request of different departments and projects.
  • Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new test equipment, rigs and jigs and as well software/firmware related for various test purposes including simulation and test automatization for internal and external build following the relevant processes and demands.
  • Use of statistical analysis to prove performance.
  • Use of Six Sigma and statistical tools for various applications in test engineering.
  • Direct test technicians to perform tests and document the test results in alignment with the
  • standard procedures, H and S and test lab rules.
  • Plan, perform and/or direct technicians to build and validate new test equipment, with a focus on automation via LabVIEW control.
  • Support with product and test knowledge on request of departments and in interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Build up personal network with international test houses.
  • Correlation work on test procedures and set ups with international test laboratories.
  • Contributing to the Test Engineer Network activities.
  • Update test equipment to align with standards and test requirements.
  • Maintenance of department standards and procedures: 6S, test procedures, SOPs, and H and S requirements.
  • Test equipment and process improvements.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
  • Previous employment within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of or exposure to test.
  • Working knowledge of electronics equipment.
  • Experience in testing, data analysis and documentation.
  • Experience in planning and building test equipment including documentation hardware and software related, verification and validation.
  • Experience within a Test Lab, R and D, and quality management background.
  • Experience of dealing with high pressure pneumatic equipment and testing and electronics.
  • LabVIEW projects experience.
  • Test Stand experience.
  • Programming knowledge (python, C#)
  • Six Sigma experience.
  • Minitab experience.
