The Role:

So, what will you be doing as aTest Engineer-Assistant Team Leader?

• To guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations and policies, ensuring a secure and legally sound workplace.
• Conduct testing of electrical and electronic assemblies and equipment, adhering to established safe operating procedures according to MOD and commercial standards.
• Manage the issuance and reception of safety documents like permits-to-work.
• Uphold HV Switching safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department to influence test parameters in design.
• Strategize and coordinate resources to maximize efficiency.
• Track and evaluate actual costs and schedule performance against targets.
• Meet productivity goals while upholding quality standards across all Test/Sensor department activities.
• Lead and participate in regular project-specific meetings to keep stakeholders informed of progress and relevant issues.
• Generate KPIs for the Test/Sensor department's 'cost to complete' and monitor advancement.
• Demonstrate and uphold Ultra Maritime's values of Integrity, Transparency & Alignment.
• Fulfil any additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by Management.

What are we looking for in our next Test Engineer-Assistant Team Leader?

• Familiarity and comprehension of Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a comparable industry.
• Demonstrated capability to accurately interpret manufacturing data and conduct relevant self-inspection duties.
• Proficient communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Self-starting initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Capacity to meet deadlines effectively.
• Familiarity with internal and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
• Understanding of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management standards.
• Knowledge of 5S continuous improvement methodologies and 7W waste elimination processes.
• Awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) considerations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
