Are you a dedicated individual passionate about helping vulnerable individuals to maintain their tenancy? If so BRC are recruiting for a Tenancy Support Worker to join an amazing team.

This charity offers support to individuals experiencing a variety of issues that may leave them vulnerable to losing their tenancy. The role will involve offering support to these clients to assist them in gaining or maintaining their tenancy. The role will require you to be flexible and personable, able to build and maintain relationships with the clients you are working with.

Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Offering emotional and practical support.
  • Offering advice to assist clients in accessing the correct benefits and financial support.
  • Ensure that safeguarding measures are put in place.
  • Providing clients with information and signposting healthcare, youth and police services where necessary.
  • Carrying out risk assessments.
  • Ensuring that the correct paperwork and documents are completed.

To be successful in this position it is important that you have previous experience working within the sector. It is vital that you can build and maintain strong relationships with the service users. The right candidate will have already established the relevant knowledge required in order to offer a high level of support, as well as sharing this charities passion for helping others. You will be capable of dealing with difficult situations and complex clients, and able to work as part of a communicative team as well as confident in managing your own individual case load.
