Reed Public Sector is actively recruiting for Tenancy Management Officer for a local authority in Oxfordshire

Contract Length: initially 3 months with a possibility of getting extended

Hybrid working

Role purpose
  • Responsible for the tenancy and void management of a defined number of properties within Oxfordshire.  To act as a first point of contact for members, tenants and other Council services in respect of Council owned residential properties.
  • To provide a high quality, customer focussed service covering all aspects of void and tenancy management including transfer visits, welcome visits, tenancy changes, tenancy terminations and enforcement of tenancy conditions
  • To liaise with external support providers as well as coordinate and influence the activities of other Council services including property and grounds maintenance, health and safety and customer involvement

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working for a local authority or registered provider in a housing management environment
  • Experience of working in partnership with residents, tenants and individuals, demonstrating the ability and skills to negotiate and influence in regards to their often unpredictable needs.
  • Experience of preparing complex tenancy enforcement cases and representing the council at the County Court, giving evidence as the Councils main witness.
