Temporary full time Purchase Ledger Clerk

Our client is looking for a temporary full time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team in rural Thirsk for roughly 4 months.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing of purchase ledger invoices, matching to Purchase orders and Good received notes
  • Working with colleagues to ensure efficient processing and authorisation of invoices
  • Processing payment runs
  • Reconciling unallocated payments
  • Reconciliation of purchase ledger statements
  • Reconciling Aged Creditors control monthly
  • Being the first point of contact for suppliers
  • Reconciling and processing of monthly credit card statements
  • Following up all queries and ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently
  • Undertake any routine, day to day tasks that are required by the Finance function

Desirable qualities:

  • Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office / Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a team player
  • Previous experience of using Opera would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided

Job information/ details:

  • 09:00-17:00 or 08:30-16:30
  • Full or Part-time considered
  • Up to £24,500 (depending on experience)
  • On-site Parking
