Temporary Management Accountant

Duration:2 Months (Immediate Start)

Location: Altrincham (Fully Office-Based)

Salary: Circa £48,000 per annum

As a Temporary Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial information. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
3. Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
4. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
5. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals as required.
6. Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
7. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organisation.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
9. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines.
