Are you looking to enter a career in Civil Engineering?

This successful and well-established civil engineering consultancy is looking for a civil engineering graduate to join their supportive team. The company has been running for over 20 years, so they have a wealth of knowledge and experience to learn from. They provide consultative and design services for drainage, highways, flood risks, house building, and many more projects, so there’s lots to get involved with.

Having an interest in design will be a great advantage in this role, especially with experience in AutoCAD/Site 3D/Causeway Flow, however, training can be provided if you need it. Design is a large part of the role, but you will be given a chance to experience a wide range of projects throughout the business. This includes reviewing development plans, writing/reading reports and proposals, getting involved with planning, and attending meetings.

To be successful in this role, you will have a good understanding of hydraulics from your university studies, plus great communication skills as you will be liaising with clients and 3rd party suppliers. Within this role you have up to 15 - 20 projects on at any one time, so being able to juggle multiple responsibilities is incredibly important.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Site 3D/Causeway flow (for hydraulic analysis), training can be provided if you need it.
  • Driving license preferred as you will need to travel to client sites (a car can be provided)
  • Great communication skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics
  • Time management
  • Civil Engineering Graduate or equivalent

About:

  • Office based, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
