Reed Specialist Recruitment is working with a specialist supplier of swimming pool heat pumps and pool equipment

Due to an increase in demand and rapid growth the team based in their ‘NEW’ offices in Basildon are looking for the right person to join their team as ‘The Technical Support & Sales Advisor’

This is a unique role filled with variety and the opportunity to learn and grow your technical skills, in addition to become an integral part of the team

The ‘Technical Support & Sales Advisor’ will offer technical support to the companies’ customers, by phone , email, face to face and support tickets logged directly by the customer

They will also be responsible for testing & repairing faulty heat pumps, maintaining stock control of spare parts and assisting sales by recommending suitable products to potential customers

Full systems & product training will be provided

Technical Support Duties

• Monitoring and responding to support tickets logged by customers

• Maintaining our inventory of heat pump spare parts, ordering replacement parts from suppliers

• Inspecting and repairing any faulty units returned for repair.

• Returning faulty units to suppliers

• Refurbishing and testing heat pumps for re-sale

• Liaising with external engineers to arrange on-site repairs for customers

• Advising customers by telephone of solutions to their problems

• Providing the highest level of customer service at all times

If the person is not busy providing technical support, then they would be expected to help answer

incoming calls and provide basic advice to new customers.

This will include capturing the details of their swimming pool and recommending the best heat pump for their needs – full training will be given.

Sales Advice

• Advising customers of suitable heat pumps for their inground, above ground and indoor pools

(training will be supplied)

• Ordering equipment from suppliers

• Updating our order tracking system (using Excel)

• Logging heat pump serial numbers

• Taking orders and credit card payments

• Assisting to answer incoming phone calls

Essential Skills / Experience

• Previous experience in a Technical Support role

• Customer service experience

• Sales Experience

• The ability to be proactive when resolving customer enquires

• Excellent telephone manner

• Basic understanding of wiring diagrams / technical details

• Have some understanding of using tools

• Well organised with the ability to prioritise your day

• Attention to detail

• Able to work under pressure

• Able to work as part of team

• IT / systems skills

Hours

Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm
