Technical Service Engineer

Fully Remote - UK based with extensive throughout Europe and the UK Highly competitive salary

Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional service and support to clients within the semiconductor industry.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and enhance overall service delivery. Conduct regular maintenance activities and implement preventive measures to uphold equipment reliability.

Travel extensively throughout Europe and the UK to meet client needs and support project requirements.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following experience at a customer site:

Evaluate, analyse, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems.

Repair and modify equipment. Evaluate equipment to determine the type and extent of problems.

Repair of system-level issues (based on the FSE technical knowledge, education, and training)

Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to other supporting functions on re-occurring issues. Cross-train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate. The nature of work requires that FSEs work independently; only occasionally requiring guidance from management. Contribute to the capturing, re-use, collaboration, and improvement of knowledge using the available system.

To be considered you will need the following:

Candidates will ideally be time-served craftsmen possessing either ONC/HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering and are required to possess in-depth Semiconductor Equipment Repair and Maintenance and/or Process Engineering experience in any of the following areas:

Wet Etch, Dry (Plasma) Etch

Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD)

Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) / Sputtering Systems

Photolithography, Chemical Mechanical Polish (CMP)

Rapid Thermal Processing and Metrology (SEM, XRF, Film Thickness Measurement)

Demonstrated experience as a Service Engineer in the semiconductor industry, minimum of 3 years.

Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate positive relationships with clients. Willingness and previous experience travelling extensively throughout Europe and the UK.
