Reed recruitment are currently working a leading provider of innovative solar energy solutions, specializing  in design , installation & maintenance of solar systems for residential, commercial & industrial customers.

They are currently looking for a highly motivated & knowledgeable Technical Sales Specialist to join their dynamic team 

As a Technical Sales Specialist in the solar industry, you will play a vital role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the successful implementation of solar energy solutions for their customers.

This exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and make a significant impact on their clients’ transition to sustainable power sources

Key Responsibilities:

 Desktop solar 3D modelling

 Solar PV feasibility report writing

 Liaising with clients & internal teams on solar technical matters and advice

 Project management of solar PV projects working with internal teams, appointed specialist contractors, regulatory bodies (DNO, planning, structural) and clients.

 Develop customized solar energy solutions tailored to customer requirements

 Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, from initial customer inquiries to post-installation follow-up

 Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations

 Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and technical documentation

 Address technical inquiries from customers, providing them with accurate and comprehensive information about our products, system capabilities, and installation processes.

 Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless coordination and successful implementation of solar projects

 Contribute to market research, competitive analysis, and the development of sales strategies to expand our customer base and increase market penetration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in a technical sales support role within the solar industry or a similar field.

• In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, photovoltaic technology, and associated components.

• Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards governing solar installations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and recommend optimal solar solutions

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information

• Customer-focused mindset and a passion for renewable energy and sustainability

• Proficiency in solar design software, CRM systems, and other sales support tools ( desirable )

• Battery storage and/or electric vehicle charging knowledge/experience.

• Strong technical background in report writing and specification development.

• Experience with DNOs and G99 application process.

• Experience in 3D modelling, ideally PVSOL and Sketchup.
