Technical Sales Administrator/Support

Wokingham

Monday to Friday, Office based

£28,000 - £30,000

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Admin/Support professional to join our Wokingham based client’s dynamic team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling sales and technical inquiries, processing orders, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer experiences.

This role requires a candidate that is eager to delve into the technical intricacies of the company’s products and services. Given that mastering these aspects of a new role and learning the specific ins and outs of the products requires time, a genuine interest and aptitude for learning are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the sales team inbox, responding promptly and accurately to customer queries.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, addressing sales inquiries with professionalism and confidence.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, including quotations and technical information.
  • Process orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Participate in regular technical training sessions.

Requirements

  • Strong customer relationship skills, with a passion for fostering positive client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and comprehend complex customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Quick learner with a drive to understand mechanical components.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Ideally, previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Related work experience is preferred.
