Technical/Production Engineer - 6-12 month rolling contract - Cardiff

About Us:

Shorterm Group are working with a dynamic and innovative aerospace company seeking a skilled and motivated Technical/Production Engineer to join our team in Cardiff. As a key player in the aviation industry, are client is committed to excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft, engines, and components.

Key Accountabilities:

Engineers and stages work tasks from approved maintenance documentation, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
Supports production areas in resolving issues related to engineered tasks, considering safety, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
Collaborates with the technical team on out-of-scope requirements for effective task engineering and staging.
Plays a vital role in the Business Readiness process by providing accurate data.
Responsible for engineering the aircraft type EWS database, organizing and sequencing tasks for Scheduled Maintenance checks.
Responds to Engineering Query Forms (EQF's) within agreed-upon targets.
Supports improvement initiatives and incorporates first embodiment feedback.
Ensures compliance with documentation and quality requirements.
Drives continuous improvement of technical and safety standards.
Undertakes ad-hoc work or provides cover for other team tasks as needed.

In-depth fleet knowledge gained through hands-on experience.
Specific knowledge of aircraft mechanical/avionic systems, engines, structures, and materials.
Good business awareness.
Knowledge of maintenance programs.
PC literate with proficiency in BA Engineering SAP systems, Airbus World, and BOLD.

Qualifications / Experience:

Ability to hold CAA/EASA approvals or BA company approvals, or
HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering subject.
Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and maintenance programs.
Working knowledge of Part M interface concerning production engineering responsibilities.
Broad understanding of safety/quality matters and human factors.
Broad understanding of aircraft and component maintenance practices.

Key Performance Indicators:

Achievement of timescales for routine work as detailed in procedures.
Delivery to project timescales as required.
AIRs/ESRs.
Feedback from stakeholders.
