Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer to recruit a Technical Project Engineer to join their team in Sheffield. 

Reporting to the Technical Manager the Technical Project Engineer will be responsible for driving NPI projects as well as technical guidance on product development and approvals for both mechanical and electronic engineering.

Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Project Engineer include;

  • Create robust technical specifications to drive NPD Projects
  • Ensure innovation is at the core of Product development
  • Develop robust test plans to ensure 
  • Actively communicate with test centres to ensure products progress as quickly as possible
  • Become a technical ‘go to’ person for certification and product queries
  • Work with suppliers to deliver parts which maintain the highest levels of quality
  • Develop and maintain robust project plans. 
  • Provide technical support and field technical queries from customers, distributors, and colleagues
  • Support the effective problem solving of design issues/development requirements
  • Work with internal departments
  • Create electrical drawings and site wiring diagrams and provide support to customers and colleagues in the technical department

We would like to speak with Technical Project Engineers with the following:

  • Degree Qualified – ideally Electronic Engineering 
  • Electromechanical Engineering experience within an NPD environment
  • Experience in using CAD/Drive works/SolidWorks
  • Experience of working with PCB Schematics
  • Effective communicator and problem solver

The role may require occasional travel both nationally and internationally so the candidate must hold a current UK Driving License.
