Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Manager to join their business.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Following a restructure, this is a brand new role and the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Drive site quality and GMP compliance metrics, setting and monitoring KPIs.
* Provide a clear view of consumer complaint performance and various quality-led KPIs.
* Present KPIs to all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment across the group.
* Lead and inspire the site Quality teams, fostering talent through a personnel development plan.
* Be the driving force behind the site's succession plan and personnel performance.
* Foster strong customer relationships, acting as the day-to-day contact for all retailers.
* Support factory teams through customer visits and maintain customer-specific KPIs.
* React promptly to factory incidents, ensuring appropriate resourcing and support.
* Lead incident responses to ensure safe and timely resolutions.
* Oversee incident investigations and preventative actions to avoid reoccurrence.
* Excel at customer audits, working closely with the Factory Manager and Quality Systems Manager.
* Collaborate with factory teams to deliver sustainable solutions for compliance issues.
* Take ownership of the site's Technical Budget and ensure compliance.
* Work collaboratively with central teams to ensure alignment across all sites.
