Technical Financial Controller

Stanton House is currently recruiting for an Interim Technical Financial Controller to join an exciting High-Growth Software Business on a 6-12-month Contract. This role is paying up to £600 - £700 per day Outside IR35 (depending on experience) and offers a hybrid working arrangement in the Midlands (3 days per week).

Although this is an interim role, it could potentially be a permanent opportunity for the right person.

Responsibilities:

• Directing and managing the financial accounting operations in accordance with US GAAP.
• Implementing and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards throughout financial reporting processes.
• Overseeing the software capitalisation process, including determining eligibility, valuation, and accounting treatment (you must have proven experience with Software Capitalisation under US GAAP).
• Applying expertise in IFRS, particularly IAS 38, to handle intangible assets.
• Leading the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conducting detailed analysis and interpretation of financial data to provide insights into business performance and trends.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for financial risk management and optimisation.
• Managing internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Providing guidance and support to finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) coming from a practice background.
• Have proven experience working in a software/tech company
• Expert in US GAAP and IAS 38 (intangible assets).
• The successful candidate must have experience with Software Capitalisation under US GAAP
• Experienced in using software, Microsoft Dynamic 365 and Adaptive advantageous.
