Quality Assurance - Team Manager

Swindon Borough Council are looking to expand their current team. The Quality Assurance team is looking for a Team Manager to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills and potential progression within your team. This Quality Assurance Team Manager role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance. Swindon Borough Council will also offer a flat rate of £50 extra a week for petrol if you live 50+ miles from the council.

Quality Assurance Team Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • To lead on implementing the quality assurance framework,(and the processes associated with it), that relates to services for children and families in Swindon Borough Council (SBC).
  • To be responsible for ensuring that audit processes are carried out; that they are effective; that they capture relevant information to support analysis of the quality of practice in our services; and that learning from audit significantly contributes to service improvement.
  • To provide regular high-quality reports to managers, leaders, and strategic and performance boards; to share knowledge and expertise about the good practice in our services; and to significantly contribute to service self-assessment and evaluation.
  • To be responsive to concerns about the quality of practice; holding colleagues to account where services need to improve; and to work alongside Child Protection Conference Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers in providing effective scrutiny and challenge.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the efficacy and effectiveness of the quality assurance framework and review it regularly to ensure that it reflects service needs and national best practice.
  • To identify the learning, development, and improvement needs of the children and families workforce and to work closely with the Principal Social Worker to ensure that these needs are met. This will include providing learning and development to colleagues in relation to auditing and quality assurance.
  • To ensure that quality assurance arrangements meet the requirements of regulation and inspection.

Requirements / Experience preferred:

  • HCPC Registration
  • 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
