Salary : Circa £37,000 this includes sleep in allowance (£70.47 per sleep in with an average of 11 per month)

Oaktree Consultants are currently working in partnership with our client, who are recruiting for an experienced and qualified candidate to join the team in a children’s residential home as a team leader.If you would like to work for a professional and passionate company who has the interests of their children/young people and employees at heart and have a personal passion and drive to make the difference to the lives of children and young people then please apply!

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring shifts are planned with residential support workers,
  • Ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company polices and procedures,
  • To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day,
  • To provide reports and documentation that reflects the progress of the young person using our paperless systems and tools,
  • To review the young people’s care plans and other associated documentation,
  • To undertake an in depth quality and bespoke training package,
  • To attend staff meetings and be proactive in developing and improving the service model,
  • To act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting model,
  • To work with young people using supporting strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in house training (PRICE)Requirements,
  • To provide positive parentingTo have exceptional communication skills,
  • To have sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g Children’s Homes Regulations 2015(including quality standards),
  • To be open minded, empathetic in a calm and professional mannner

Essential Requirements:

  • Must have a full manual driving licence,
  • Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare or equivalent,
  • To participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young people,
  • To have a clear passion and desire to support children and young people,
  • To be an active member of a progressive and committed team,
