We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and assessment within their apprenticeship programs.
As a Teaching, Learning and Quality Advisor, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by driving excellence and innovation in education.

• Contract Duration: Permanent Salary: £38000 per annum

Key Responsibilities of the Teaching, Learning and Quality Advisor:
• Conduct sampling of training requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and our internal guidelines.
• Oversee safeguarding processes, conducting thorough walkthroughs and ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Ensure progress reviews align with the education inspection framework, providing feedback to Training and Assessors for continuous improvement.
• Carry out observations to assess teaching effectiveness and provide valuable feedback to enhance instructional practices.
• Support learner voice forums by collecting voice surveys and facilitating feedback sessions to gather learner insights and perspectives.
• Utilise your expertise in the construction field to enhance the training experience, sharing industry-specific knowledge and best practices.
• Regularly sample operational activity through observation and evaluation to ensure quality assurance activity leads to improvement.
• Coach and develop staff to increase their effectiveness.
• Facilitate workshops and events to meet operational needs.
• Support external assessment and inspection planning activities and preparation.
• Support and facilitate self-assessment across the provision.
• Effectively use self-assessment and evaluation to inform regional quality improvement plans.

Qualifications and Experience Required for the Teaching Learning and Quality Advisor:
• Proven track record in apprenticeships, quality assurance, teaching, learning, and assessment within the Scottish Education sector.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to apprenticeships.
• Hold a recognised Teachers award and an IQA Award would be highly desirable.
• Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable due to the specific nature of our programs.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with the ability to effectively evaluate and support their implementation.
• Familiarity with the education inspection framework and its application in conducting progress reviews.
• Experience in delivering continuous improvement processes and coaching to a minimum of a "Good" rating.
• In-depth knowledge of Education Inspection and funding requirements to ensure best practice is followed at all times.
• Effective communication skills to provide constructive feedback and support to Training and Skills Coaches and learners.
• Flexibility to travel nationally, including overnight stays, as required for the role.
