Teaching Assistant

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant primary school team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning journeys through small group interventions or one-to-one work. Whether you are looking to work full-time or part-time, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ educational experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor students’ progress and provide feedback.
  • Implement strategies to engage students and encourage a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Facilitate communication between students and teachers, ensuring that individual student needs are addressed.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational support position.
  • Strong understanding of primary school curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
