Thrive Education are working with several schools in and around Gloucester . We have fulltime and part time positions available as well as a mixture of Classroom and 1:1 support positions available so no matter what your previous experience is or what your personal preferences are we will have a position for you!

Some responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Listening to children read, reading to them, or telling them stories
  • Helping children who need extra support to complete task
  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
  • Supervising group activities
  • Looking after children who are upset or have had accidents
  • Clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
  • Helping with outings and sports events

Skills and experience you will need:

  • An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
  • Good organisational skills
  • Flexibility and creativity
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
  • Patience and a sense of humour

An ability to adapt and change to the needs of the pupils and the overall classroom on any given day

The successful candidate will have a good standard of numeracy and literacy and will be available between 1-5 days per week.

Salary: £80.00-£90.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
