A wonderful Primary School in Portishead is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work on a 1 to 1 basis with a KS2 pupil.

This school is dedicated to being part of the community by building strong relationships with their students and family members.

The Role

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to work on a part-time basis (3 days a week) starting ASAP.

Communication is key for this role. You will need to work collaboratively with the Teacher and SENDCo to support a KS2 pupil with their social and educational development.

You will be expected to:

  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the children.

  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.

  • Create a safe environment for the pupil to learn at their own pace.

  • Manage and support the child’s needs.

  • Be adaptable with the learning opportunities.
