The Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with SEND, helping them access a tailored education and reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collaborating closely with teachers to adapt materials and teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, addressing their unique requirements.
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social and emotional development of students.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in consultation with the school's SENCO and other professionals.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress and delivering feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Upholding safeguarding policies and ensuring the welfare of all students.
