Teaching AssistantAbout the Role

Service Care Solutions are seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join Bexley Council's Marlborough Community School to enable access to learning for learners with complex learning needs including ASD, SLD and PMLD with an Education Health Care plan. The Teaching Assistant will be required to support learners with communication, self-care, mobility and feeding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to learners with complex learning needs
  • Assist learners with communication, self-care, mobility and feeding
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure learner's needs are met
  • Implement strategies to support learner's progress and development
  • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of learner's progress
Requirements
  • Experience working with learners with complex learning needs
  • Knowledge of ASD, SLD and PMLD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
  • Flexibility and adaptability
Qualifications
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
19.5 hours per week, Weds-Fri 9:15-4:15. £31.82 per hour.
