Job Requirements of this Home Tutor job in Lichfield
- Ability to provide support to pupils aged 5-18 with complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety.
- Experience and willingness to work with pupils requiring specialised support in an educational setting.
- Capacity to assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with pupils, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Dedication to promoting inclusion and supporting the holistic development of pupils with diverse needs.
Qualifications or Certificates:
- Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Health and Social Care, or related field.
- Certifications or training in areas such as autism awareness, trauma-informed care, and behaviour management would be advantageous.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including ASC related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety, is desirable.
- Familiarity with implementing individualised support plans and behaviour management strategies within an educational environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

As a Teaching Assistant at an independent specialist school, you will provide support to pupils aged 5-18 with complex needs, including ASC related conditions, trauma, attachment, and anxiety.
