Job Duties:
  • Supporting classroom activities under the direction of the teacher
  • Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with student assessments and record-keeping
  • Supervising students during break times and outings
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working with children in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
  • Basic knowledge of educational practises and policies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily takes place within a school setting
  • May involve some physical activity such as assisting with student mobility
  • Standard working hours with occasional requirement for overtime
