Are you a teaching assistant based in Croydon that is looking for a new role after Easter?

Tempest Education are seeking to appoint a SEN teaching assistant to join a lovely primary school in Croydon.

As an SEN teaching assistant, you must have the ability to work as an effective team member, be well organised and have the ability to communicate with children and adults in a constructive and effective way.

Your responsibilities will be working one-to-one with a child who has learning difficulties. As well as working one-to-one, you will also be as a general teaching assistant when needed. This will include working alongside the class teacher, working with small groups of children and supporting children with their maths and English.

Having suitable primary school experience will help to further support your application. However, experience with SEN is highly considered. This position is perfect for someone who is pro-active, enthusiastic and can use their initiative when needed.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant must have:

• Experience working within a primary school
• Experience of working with or caring for children
• Strong desire to work with children with SEN
• Be committed to promoting high standards in learning
• A clear DBS, if you do not have a relevant DBS, Tempest Education can apply one for you.

Main Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Working one-to-one with a child who has SEN
• Working alongside the class teacher
• Working with small groups of children
• Helping children with their English and Maths
• Be enthusiastic and motivated

SEN Teaching Assistant - Additional information:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am - 3:30pm
• £80 - £105 per day
• Long term / permanent contract
• Primary School in Croydon
• SEN Teaching Assistant
• ASAP Start
