TEACHING ASSISTANT

Build up amazing classroom experience whilst positively impacting the academic development of students with additional learning needs in this Teaching Assistant opportunity, based in the Stafford area.

This Teaching Assistant role would require you to work with students on a 1:1 and group basis, supporting experienced teachers and senior leaders to ensure academic and social development is met within a safe and engaging learning environment.

This role is ideal for those wishing to carve a career in teaching or within a psychology discipline.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Work with students who have additional learning and behavioural needs  
  • 1:1 and group work
  • Support the schools teachers
  • Offering a calm learning environment
  • Build and develop classroom knowledge and skills  

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Prior SEN / TA/ LSA education experience
  • Compassionate and patient manner
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work as an individual and part of a team
  • Good availability – long-term and short-term roles
  • DBS required
