We are in search of an exceptionally dedicated teaching assistant. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) dedicated to supporting children in a mainstream primary school located in the Goole DN14 area.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
  • Familiarity with diverse teaching approaches suitable for SEN children.
  • Solid comprehension of child development and the learning process.
  • Exhibit effective listening and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to building positive children relationships and addressing their requirements.
  • Capable of offering individualised attention, encouragement, and learning support.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS check or willing to obtain one through Randstad.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the execution of customised education plans designed to meet each child's learning objectives.
  • Build connections with all children, adapting communication to align with their understanding.
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse learning environment, ensuring equal opportunities for all children.
  • Encourage independence through diverse activities and tasks.
  • Support the showcasing of children work and assist in preparing educational materials.
  • Provide assistance in practical activities, utilising various teaching aids.
  • Foster positive behaviour and empower children to take ownership of their actions.
  • Assist in supervising children during the class teacher's absence, alongside other support staff.
