Temporary Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Term Time only plus INSET days)

Start Date: Required for the Summer Term

We are inviting applications for a Teaching Assistant to join this dedicated team at this excellent secondary school near Chichester. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and wish to contribute to the improvement of opportunities for our young people. The successful candidate will work with the Special Needs Team to support students with diverse learning and emotional needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the learning and emotional needs of students on the Individual Needs register.
  • Work in various capacities to assist students with a range of difficulties, which may include personal care.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to support students in class and in intervention sessions.
  • Mentor students, write reports, and attend support strategy meetings as required.
  • Contribute to the School's vision of a community of learners driven by success and opportunity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A flexible individual with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to relate well to others and a keen interest in making a difference.
  • Graduate level education is preferred, but other relevant qualifications will be considered.
  • Commitment to the Academy’s values of working together inclusively, respecting and caring for each other, and being ambitious and aspirational for all.
