Position Overview: Aquinas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant educational community in Telford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of individual students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior support, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive relationships and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement educational strategies and interventions effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
