Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Pudsey, Leeds

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in one of our primary schools located in West Leeds. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lesson plans and curriculum
  • Help individual students or small groups with academic tasks
  • Supervise students during independent work and activities
  • Support students with special needs or disabilities
  • Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students
