Teaching Assistant

We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in Leeds. The school provides education to pupils aged 11 to 16, including those with SEN. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and supporting their educational journey.

Day to day of the role:
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, particularly those with various learning needs.
  • Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and life skills within a structured learning environment.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies to support student learning and well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Possession of a valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible, reliable, and committed approach to the role.
