We are looking for Teaching Assistant's to work in a vibrant, fun, and welcoming School alongside pupils who have a range of SEND i.e. ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), ADHD (Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder), DS (Downs Syndrome), GDD (Global Development Delay), SPLD (Specific learning Difficulty), ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). This role in particular focuses on working 1-1 with pupils who have ASD & DS.

The hours are Mon-Fri 8:30-15:15pm (excluding school holidays)

A normal day would be 6.45 hours with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break

The school is easily accessible by driving or public transport.

Your daily rate of pay would be £79.50* but with the potential to earn more. The pay rate is dependent on experience. *Rate includes holiday pay.

Experience is not essential but beneficial. A perfect candidate would be passionate about learning, show initiative and organisational skills, resilience and flexibility.

Responsibilities and duties:

Guiding students - Supporting 1:1 and small groups of pupils
Build trusting and constructive relationships with pupils
Be a team player - Work with the school to ensure the best support and care
Encourage engagement and development in child's learning
Set challenges to promote self-esteem and independence
Provide feedback to both teachers and pupils
Encourage socialisation and good behaviour through being patient and empathetic

Essential Criteria:

Commitment to personal professional development
Right to work in the UK
Valid/relevant DBS
Two recent references
10 years (or nearest) work history

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fees or employers' NI. We are also proud to be an accredited Living Wage employer. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, and TRA checks, and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
