The Teaching and Learning Manager - Construction role:

As our Teaching and Learning Manager for Construction and Green Technologies, you will work collaboratively with your team to build on the success of the Construction and Green Technologies curriculum, whilst ensuring the continued development and growth of the area which will enable student needs to be met through inclusive high quality learning and provision. The work you do with your team will ensure that the student journey at Crawley College is the best it can possibly be and give the students a learning experience they will remember

Key Responsibilities of ourTeaching and Learning Manager - Construction:

  • Delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and outstanding support for students.
  • Contributing to all curriculum planning processes, including curriculum intent statements, timetabling and managing maths and English delivery across all product lines.
  • Providing advice and support into new developments to broaden the curriculum offer including input from our community, employers and stakeholders.
  • Undertaking activities to support the recruitment of students, including attend open events and other events as required by the Head of Learning.
  • Contributing to the effective recruitment and retention of teaching, delivery and support staff, supporting the staff team with a coaching approach.
  • Encouraging and support innovation, risk taking and use of technology to enhance curriculum delivery, engagement and learning.
  • Positively promoting equality, diversity and inclusion within the curriculum and the College community.
  • To integrate sustainability within curriculum delivery to support CCG’s focus on the green agenda and sustainability.
  • Carrying out appraisals and teaching observations for a defined team of staff.
  • Managing the accurate recording and reporting of all data associated with the area.

Our ideal Teaching and Learning Manager - Constructionshould have the below skills and experience:

  • Up to date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning, proven through continuing professional development
  • Proven record of teaching and assessment to a consistently high standard, including the use of technology
  • A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent
  • A level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise
