Empowering Learning are looking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join an 11-18 academy in Scunthorpe on a full-time, permanent basis.

Required from September 2024 (an earlier start can be negotiated), a well-qualified, dynamic and highly motivated teacher of Science. The successful candidate will be able to teach Science to KS3 and GCSE and Physics, Biology or Chemistry to A-level. Applications from both established teachers and ECTs are welcomed.

This academy is on a journey of rapid improvement. They routinely rank amongst the highest performing schools in North Lincolnshire and similar schools in the country.

With 725 pupils aged between 11 and 16 housed in a building that has benefited from much recent investment, this is a busy and vibrant place. The school serves the area of Scunthorpe and draws increasingly from the surrounding areas. They are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, for example in 2019 88 students left year 11 and 168 started in Y7. This was a similar picture in 2020.
