If so, GSL Education is offering an excellent opportunity for you to work as a Music Teacher at a Client Secondary School in Ripon, North Yorkshire, starting from September 2024.

Music Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design the Music curriculum of KS3, GCSE and A-Level, in adherence to national and local standards, ensuring it is engaging, age-appropriate, and caters to diverse learners.
  • Deliver high-quality Music instruction, employing various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Contribute to full lesson planning, prepping and marking of assessments to evaluate students' understanding and progress, offering timely and constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Identify and address diverse learning needs, providing additional support or enrichment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with fellow Music teachers and faculty members to align teaching strategies, share resources, and develop interdisciplinary projects integrating Music with other subjects.

Music Teacher Requirements:

  • PGCE in Secondary Music with QTS or equivalent UK recognized teaching qualification.
  • Essential Music or instrument teaching experience within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to foster curiosity and interest in the subject.
  • Strong command of the curriculum and effective behavior management skills.
  • Commitment to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
