Are you looking for a new challenge as a teacher of MFL? Do you have a passion for languages and a commitment to inspiring your students? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are seeking a qualified and experienced teacher of MFL to join our friendly and supportive team at Middlesbrough School.
You will be teaching French and Spanish to students from Year 7 to Year 11, following the national curriculum and preparing them for GCSE exams. You will also be expected to contribute to the enrichment and extracurricular activities of the MFL department, such as language clubs, trips and exchanges.
This is a temporary position, starting in April 2024 and lasting until July 2024, with the possibility of extension/permanent vacancy depending on the needs of the school.
To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant degree in French, Spanish or a related subject
  • A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification in MFL
  • QTS or QTLS status
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • At least two years of teaching experience in a UK secondary school
  • Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humour
