We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Maths to provide strategic leadership and ensure the highest quality of teaching and learning within the Maths Department. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of teachers, monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, and ensure that all pupils are making progress with improving results year on year.

• Provide strategic direction for the Maths Department.
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of teachers to ensure effective delivery of the Maths curriculum.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, implementing changes where necessary.
• Ensure that all pupils are making progress and that results are improving year on year.
• Work collaboratively with other Heads of Department to ensure cross-curricular cohesion and consistency.
• Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings and events.

• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience of leading a successful Maths Department or similar experience.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils.
• Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and pupils.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
