Are you an outstanding Teacher of Design Technology with a Food & Nutrition specialism? Do you possess excellent subject knowledge and a determination to ensure the pupils make good progress? We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Design Technology for a vibrant 11-18 academy near Lincoln. The successful teacher will be expected to teach the KS3 and KS4 Food and Nutrition curriculum with the school. ECTs are welcome to apply, as are more experienced candidates. This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Design Technology is a popular subject area within the Academy and the department at this school offer a wide range of disciplines including 3D Design, Food & Nutrition and Engineering.
  • They are a dynamic, cooperative team with a track record of excellent results at GCSE and A-Level.
  • They are now seeking someone with a similar enthusiasm and drive to teach Food & Nutrition alongside Design Technology and to help support the development of the department further.
  • GCSE is offered from Year 9 onwards. Core subjects are allocated 4.5 hours p/w of contact time from Year 7 to 11. All A Level subjects have 6 hours of contact time in two 3-hour sessions per week.
  • Students also have independent learning time.
  • After school clubs offer great scope for extension activities. Trips and visits play a large part in the students' experience.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology with the ability to inspire students. As a member of the department, it will be essential that the candidate is an excellent teacher with the skills and motivation to teach subject content to GCSE and possibly A Level/Level 3. KS3 consists of Years 7 and 8, and students work with DT/CAD/Art. Lessons are 3 hours in duration for all lessons in Food Technology.
