Teacher of Performing Arts Vacancy Secondary School in Barking and Dagenham

Payscale: Inner London Main payscale 1 to Upper Payscale 3 (ECTs welcome to apply)

Engage Education is currently working with a school in Barking and Dagenham who are expanding and looking to appoint a Teacher of Performing Arts to join their thriving department. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach at least 2 of the following: Drama, Dance and or Music.

The successful applicant will be expected to lead inspirational lessons to all pupils and effectively manage a classroom, whilst creating a safe space for students to thrive in performing arts.

The incoming Performings Arts Teacher will be expected to deliver dynamic lessons that stretch their classes and encourage a passion for the subject. The school requires the ideal candidate to have experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels.

The school has a 6th form and would welcome applications from those looking to teach A-Leve classes too.

You must:

  • Hold QTS
  • Have experience delivering Drama, Dance and/or Music across the full age, gender and ability range, in a secondary school
  • Have a strong interest in working in an inner city school which caters for disadvantaged pupils
